Under head coach Tim Brown's guidance, the Skidmore College golf team has earned the reputation of being one of the elite programs in the Northeast.
That reputation and the success of the Thoroughbreds on the links has not gone unnoticed, and Brown was recently bestowed an impressive personal honor.
Brown was named as the lone assistant coach for a team consisting of 12 college players representing the United States in a tournament in Japan in late June. The tournament is being sponsored by the Nippon Sports Society of Japan. When and where the team will play has yet to be determined.
