It is hard to place the original 17th century settlement that became Albany within the city's contemporary landscape of highways, parking lots and construction projects. On Saturday, its stockaded boundaries will be traced in an hour-long, free walking tour.
The tour will begin at noon at Quackenbush Square at Broadway and Clinton Street.
The tour will actually re-enact the noon watch by the Fort Orange Garrison, which was a company of professional soldiers hired by the Dutch West India Co. in the 17th century to protect the town and the nearby Fort Orange.
